SANTÉ DIABÈTE WORKS
ACCROSS COUNTRIES AND
GLOBALLY TO IMPROVE
ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE
FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH DIABETES

Santé Diabète is a Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2001 to respond to the lack of access to healthcare for people with diabetes in Africa and to the failure to take this health emergency into account by development actors at the global level.

For more than two decades, Santé Diabète has been working on the ground every day to save lives through improved diabetes prevention and care, enhance the quality of life for people living with this chronic disease, and raise international awareness about the challenges of diabetes, which now causes one death every six seconds worldwide.

First present in Mali, Santé Diabète then expanded its programs to Burkina Faso, the Union of Comoros as well as in France (headquarters of the association) with permanent teams in each country and a network of more than 200 local and international partners.
