International missions

Santé Diabète provides technical advice and assessment missions in the field of diabetes prevention and management.

These international missions allow us to support other countries that seek our expertise and the transfer of knowledge.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Technical advice translates into support missions in the following areas :

  • the drafting of national policies for the response to diabetes,
  • the drafting of the standards and procedures part of these political documents,
  • the formulation of the various operational documents for the implementation of these policies,
  • the formulation of monitoring and evaluation processes for these policies.
  • 1 These assessment missions are organized into short-term missions to develop diabetes national policies including the different stages of the project management cycle (identification, formulation, monitoring and assessment).
  • 2 Evaluation missions are organized as short-term missions to carry out evaluations of national policies or projects to combat diabetes.
  • 3 The significant experience acquired by Santé Diabète in strengthening health systems also enables it to offer technical advice and monitoring or assessment missions more broadly in the field of public health.

International missions

SUPPORT TO THE TOGO MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Santé Diabète has supported the government of Mali in setting up a diabetes consultation register. This consultation register of people with diabetes was created with the aim of collecting useful information on patients, order to obtain reliable data related to the consultation of patients while feeding the health information system.

The Togolese Ministry of Health, which wanted to develop a national register of this kind, called on Santé Diabète for a 7-day consultancy mission to support this reflection based on the experience and data collection tools developed in Mali.

SUPPORT TO THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION OFFICE OF MAURITIUS

The Ministry of Health and Quality of Life (MOHQL), in collaboration with the Mauritian Council of Social Services (MACOSS) and the World Health Organization (WHO), requested in 2019 support from Santé Diabète to develop a common action plan for the fight against NCDs.

International mission to DIJBOUTI

Santé Diabète is carrying out a support mission in Djibouti to assist the Ministry of Health in the fight against diabetes.
