NGO Santé Diabète
International missions

Santé Diabète provides technical advice and assessment missions in the field of diabetes prevention and management.

These international missions allow us to support other countries that seek our expertise and the transfer of knowledge.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Technical assistance takes the form of support missions in the following areas:

  • the drafting of national policies for the response to diabetes,
  • the drafting of the standards and procedures forming these policy documents,
  • the formulation of the various operational documents for the implementation of these policies,
  • the formulation of monitoring and evaluation processes for these policies.
  • 1 Formulation missions are organized as short-term assignments to develop national diabetes projects, including all stages of the project management cycle (identification, formulation, monitoring, and evaluation).
  • 2 Evaluation missions are organized as short-term missions to carry out evaluations of national policies or projects to fight diabetes.
  • 3 The extensive experience acquired by Santé Diabète in strengthening health systems also enables the organization to provide technical assistance and to carry out monitoring or evaluation missions more broadly in the field of public health.

International missions

Support to the Ministry of Health of Togo

Santé Diabète supported the government of Mali in establishing a diabetes consultation register. This register of people living with diabetes was created to collect useful patient information, as well as to provide reliable data related to patient consultations while feeding into the health information system.

The Ministry of Health of Togo, which wished to develop such a national register, requested the support of Santé Diabète for a 7-day expert mission to guide this process, drawing on the experience and data collection tools developed in Mali.

SUPPORT TO THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION OFFICE OF MAURITIUS

The Ministry of Health and Quality of Life (MOHQL), in collaboration with the Mauritian Council of Social Services (MACOSS) and the World Health Organization (WHO), requested in 2019 support from Santé Diabète to develop a common action plan for the fight against NCDs.

International mission to DIJBOUTI

Santé Diabète is carrying out a support mission in Djibouti to assist the Ministry of Health in the fight against diabetes.
