Santé Diabète releases its 2023 annual report

Our annual report provides an overview of Santé Diabète's activities and achievements.

The year 2023 marked a transition for Santé Diabète, despite a deteriorated context in the Sahel when it came to institutions, politics and security. The organization was able to ensure the continuity of its interventions with the launch of the second phase of our program for the prevention and care of diabetes, which will run until 2026, thus consolidating previous gains. Despite constraints in the field, Santé Diabète has maintained its projects in Mali and Burkina Faso. Key actions for 2023 include : strengthening national diabetes organizations, awareness-raising and prevention activities, training healthcare professionals, and assessing the quality of training tools.

Santé Diabète also supported innovations such as the electronic medical record, and contributed to research into diabetes prevention and management. The NGO continued its advocacy efforts, while relying on a stable team and a network of financial and institutional partners. Despite the growing challenges, Santé Diabète is ready to diversify its geographical interventions, especially since it is being solicited for its expertise in several countries. Its commitment remains intact, after 20 years of work in diabetes prevention and care.
